First is the 2011 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. For 28 years, the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen has been the premier culinary and wine event of its kind. Each June, FOOD & WINE magazine hosts 5,000 highly targeted consumers, members of the restaurant industry and press in Aspen. The three-day weekend brings FOOD & WINE to life with cooking demonstrations and wine tastings. Seminars led by wine and food superstars such as Mario Batali, José Andrés, Jacques Pépin, Gail Simmons, and Joshua Wesson provide a world-class experience.

The second premier Aspen event of the summer is the Aspen Music Festival. The Aspen Music Festival and School, founded in 1949, is an internationally renowned classical music festival that presents music in an intimate, small-town setting. The festival offers more than 350 musical events during an eight-week season including symphony, chamber, opera, choral and family concerts.

Particularly of note this summer at the festival, on July 23, two-time Tony Award Winner, Patti LuPone will sing songs from such shows as Gypsy, Anything Goes, and Oliver!, as well as some of her personal pop favorites. Don't miss American musical theater's greatest living star. An exquisite dinner held on the Benedict Music Tent stage follows the concert.
